kundalini

Kundalini

"Kundalinî: 'She who is coiled; serpent power.' The primordial cosmic energy in every individual which eventually, through the practice of yoga, rises up the sushumnâ nâdî. As it rises, the kunalinî awakens each successive chakra. Nirvikalpa samâdhi, enlightenment, comes as it pierces through the door of Brahman at the core of the sahasrâra and enters!” Hinduism Today
"The Kundalini is your own mother. Your individual mother. And She has tape-recorded all your past and your aspirations, everything. And She rises because She wants to give you your second birth, but She is your individual mother. You don’t share Her with anybody else. Yours is a different, somebody else’s is different because the tape-recording is different. We say She is the reflection of the Adi Shakti who is called as Holy Ghost in the Bible. But She rises without any difficulty. Hardly any time it takes." — Shri Mataji
Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily I say unto thee, except a man born be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God... Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God. That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of Spirit is spirit." John 3:5-7
"Many scholars have long seen the correlation with what the East calls, chi, kundalini or prana, and the Holy Spirit. Chi, kundalini, or prana are all words for the subtle energies in the body, and are all seen as manifestations of Shakti, or the Goddess (or Divine Mother). The Holy Spirit is the subtle force that connects us to the universe and gives us life, which is the definition of Chi, kundalini or prana (along with other terms). When we say that the union of Shiva (Divine Father) and Shakti (Divine Mother) is the whole of creation, we are also saying that the union of the Father and Holy Spirit is the whole of God… Thus, we have a working cosmology that both Eastern and Western religious traditions agree on." (Christopher. 2002)

Chakras: Energy Centers of Transformation
"The word kundalini comes from the Sanskrit word kundal, which means a ‘spiral’ or ‘coil.’ In Yoga, Kundalini Shakti means the ‘coiled power.’ It is compared to a serpent that lies coiled while resting or sleeping.

There are numerous references to Kundalini in the sacred texts of India. Shankaracharya, in his famous treatise, Saundarya Lahari, says: ‘The invincible Kundalini Shakti pierces the six chakras and enters its abode slowly step by step.’ In the Mundamalatantra (ch. 6), Kundalini Shakti is called the basic force of the body. In the Varahopanishad (5.51), Kundalini is called the supreme power. In the Yogashikhopanishad (6.55) it is stated that when Kundalini Shakti rises above its resting point (the kanda), the yogi attains liberation. In the Yajurveda, Kundalini is mentioned as a virgin energy which moves like a devoted wife and destroys all evils, and, by its slight movement, through its fiery energy, pierces all centers.

There are many other references to Kundalini in Gyanarva Tantra, Lalita Sahastranam, Laghustuti Vamkeshwar Tantra, Kshata Chakta, Nirupana, Ghetanya Samhita, and Hatha Yogpradipika in which she is described as an aspect of the eternal supreme consciousness, which is both with and without attributes. In the aspect of supreme consciousness and attributes (saguna), Kundalini is often personified as an aspect of the Divine Mother, the Great Goddess. In the attributeless aspect (nirguna), Kundalini is the power or will of cosmic consciousness and is pure consciousness."

"What is Kundalini?

Exploring Chakras: Awaken Your Untapped Energy
‘Glory, glory to Mother Kundalini, who through Her Infinite Grace and Power, kindly leads the Sadhaka from Chakra to Chakra and illumines his intellect and makes him realise his identity with the Supreme Brahman’—Sri Swami Sivananda …

In India, kundalini is personified as the Divine Mother: Shakti Ma, Kali Ma, or other goddesses. She is the feminine power at the base of the spine, which travels up the spine to unite with the masculine power, her consort, Lord Shiva (Shakta), in the seventh chakra, sahasrara. This union of opposites is a powerful symbol depicted in all cultures.

In the ancient scriptures, kundalini is described in three different manifestations. The first is unmanifest cosmic energy: Para-kundalini. The second is vital energy of the created universe: Prana-kundalini. The third is consciousness: Shakti-kundalini, the intermediary between the other two.

Shakti-kundalini is the link to higher awareness, the revealer of all mantras, and the eternal source of bliss flowing from sahasrara (crown chakra). Through her shristi krama (process of creation), she creates by descending from sahasrara through all the chakras. She sustains by abiding in the muladhara chakra. Through her laya karma (process of absorption), she destroys or dissolves by ascending and returning to sahasrara.

When Shakti descends to the lower chakras, she is known as jagan mohini (world bewilder) and causes maya: delusion, limitation, ignorance, and ensnarement in material life. As she descends, she becomes grosser and loses her power and subtlety.

As kundalini shakti ascends through the chakras, she becomes subtler. On her pathway upward, she reabsorbs all the creative principles that originally descended from sahasrara. This is called laya-absorption. During this homeward journey, Shakti removes the veils of maya (illusion), which evaporate like a mirage.

As kundalini ascends through the chakras, mental limitations are gradually removed so consciousness can shine in its pristine glory. Mental fluctuations settle down and the mind becomes serene. Awareness flows smoothly and the mind becomes a vehicle for bliss and happiness.

At sahasrara chakra kundalini merges with Shiva, who is identified with her. In her formless state she is consciousness. In her creative form she is Shakti, the power of manifestation.

Therefore, kundalini’s descent creates increasing ignorance, bondage, and delusion. The same kundalini energy, as it ascends, causes spiritual awakening, freedom, and wisdom."

Adi Sankaracharya

He lived in the 7th-8th century AD. and wrote:

"Having filled the pathway of the Nadis with the streaming shower of nectar flowing from the Lotus feet, having resumed thine own position from out of the resplendent Lunar regions and Thyself assuming the form of a serpent of three and a half coils, sleepest thou, in the hollow of Kula Kunda (Kula Kunda means the hollow of Mooladhara Sacrum bone)."

"Saundarya Lahari’: ‘Thou art residing in secrecy with Thy Lord (The spirit) in the thousand petalled Lotus, having pierced through the Earth situated in ‘Mooladhara’, the Water in Manipura, the Fire abiding in the Svadhisthana, the Air in the Heart (‘Anahata’), the Ether above (Visshuddhi) and ‘Manas’ between the eyebrows (‘Agnya’) and thus broken through the entire ‘Kula Path’."

“The word Kundalini is derived from a Sanskrit word ‘Kundal’ meaning coiled up. It is the primordial dormant energy present in three-and-a-half, coils at the base of the spine in a triangular bone called the Sacrum. The Latin name ‘Os Sacrum’ suggests that it is a holy or sacred part of the body. The ancient Greeks were aware of this and therefore they called it the ‘Hieron Osteon’, noting that it was the last bone to be destroyed when the body is burnt, and also attributed supernatural powers to it. Egyptians also held this bone to be very valuable and considered it the seat of special power.

In the West, Sacrum is symbolised by the sign of Aquarius and by the Holy Grail, container of the water of life.

The Kundalini, which is to nourish the tree of life within us, is coiled up like a serpent and therefore it has been called, ‘The Serpent Power’. It has been described in great detail in the Upanishads. Kundalini Yoga is supposed to be supreme in all the Yogas. Guru Vashistha asserted that Kundalini is the seat of absolute knowledge. The awareness of the presence of this primordial energy Kundalini within the human body was considered by the sages and saints to be the highest knowledge. The Kundalini and Chakras have been vividly described in Vedic and Tantric texts.
Gyaneshwara

Gyaneshwara, another famous saint of Maharashtra born around 1275 AD, described Kundalini in the 6th chapter of his famous book ‘Gyaneshwari’. He wrote:

‘Kundalini is one of the greatest energies. The whole body of the seeker starts glowing because of the rising of the Kundalini. Because of that, unwanted impurities in the body disappear. The body of the seeker suddenly looks very proportionate and the eyes look bright and attractive and the eyeballs glow.’ — (Gyaneshwari, Chapter VI).
Guru Nanak Dev

Guru Nanak Dev (born in 1496 AD) has made references to Kundalini awakening as mentioned below:

"A pure heart is the golden vessel to fill the Divine Nectar which is to be sucked from the ‘Dasham Dwar’ through the two channels ‘Ida’ and ‘Pingala’." Dasham Dwar means Brahmarandhra. (Sahasrara Chakra).

"God has made this human body a house with six Chakras and has established the light of spirit in it. Cross the ocean of Maya and meet the eternal God who does not come, who does not go, who neither takes birth nor dies. When your six Chakras meet in line, Surati (Kundalini) takes you beyond distortions.’ (Sri Guru Granth). Note that the seventh Chakra was not open at this time."
In the Holy Koran

Prophet Mohammed Sahib talked of the day of resurrection when he says that the ‘hands will speak’. ‘That day, we set a seal on their mouths, but their hands will speak to us, and their hands bear witness to all that they did.’ When Kundalini awakening occurs, a flow of energy in the form of cool vibrations from the hands is experienced, and the various Chakras can be felt on parts of the hand and fingers.

In the West

Christians called it a reflection of the Holy Ghost, and worshipped its manifestations as tongues of flames over the heads of apostles during the Pentecost reunion.
Moses

Moses saw it in the form of the burning bush. During the exodus the Israelites lost faith and were smitten by fiery serpents so God told Moses "make thee a serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that everyone that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live. And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it on a pole, and it came to pass, that if a fiery serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived" An apt description of the healing qualities of the awakened Kundalini. Some of the Israelites even began to worship this symbol, and the practice of worshipping the brazen serpent on the pole as a god was either passed on, or was revived later. Bronze and stone serpent artifacts have been found in excavations in Canaan, Gezer and other parts of Israel!
Jesus

The Old Testament symbol becomes significant in Christianity when Christ suggests Kundalini awakening, not just for the tribe of Israel but as the true destiny of all Christians: "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even as the son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have eternal life" He says unequivocally in the Gnostic Gospel of Thomas and elsewhere, that ‘The Holy Spirit is My Mother’. ‘The Kingdom of God is within you’ (Luke 17:21).
Tao

In the Tao Te Ching the primordial power is described as that of a mother. Lao Tze described Kundalini as the "spirit of the valley" (in which flows the Nadi of Sushumna). The spirit of the valley never dies. The spiritual instrument within us can be described as a microcosm (miniature form of creation) which links us with the Divine. The ancient esoteric text "Scripture of the Golden Flower" also spoke of the effects of the awakened kundalini energy.
Buddhism

The Lord Buddha spoke of the "middle path" to achieve nirvana. He was actually describing the central channel (sushumna) through which the Kundalini ascends. Later Buddhist masters considered that the existence of the path of liberation within a human being was the greatest secret. They transmitted it to only a few deserving disciples.
Other Cultures

One also finds symbols of Kundalini in many different cultural legacies, such as Mercury’s serpent which is an alchemical symbol for the process of psychic metamorphosis. The Gnostics understood the serpent to represent the spinal cord. In ancient Greek and later, Roman mythology, we find Asclepius, the god of healing. He is seen holding a staff which is entwined with a serpent (or sometimes two). Why did the Greeks relate this symbol to healing? The staff represents the central support of the human body or spinal cord (physical location of the sushumna. In Rome Aescaluius came to be represent mercury who usually held a healing staff called the Caduceus. The one or two coiled snakes or serpents entwined around the staff, represent the kundalini which rises along the central subtle channel in a spiral double helical movement.
Summary

The Kundalini is there to nourish, to heal and look after and to give an individual a higher and deeper personality. The power of Kundalini is absolute purity, auspiciousness, chastity, self respect, pure love, detachment, concern for others and enlightened attention, to give infinite joy and peace to an individual.”

Knowledge of Reality
Historical Sources and Knowledge of Kundalini (Issue 14)

The Great Adi Shakti Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
The Paraclete Shri Mataji
"It is important to understand about your own Kundalini, as Self-realisation is Self-knowledge. And the one who gives Self-knowledge is your own Kundalini because when she rises, she points out what are the problems on your Chakras. Now we say that it is pure desire. It is your chaste desire. It has no lust or greed in it. That power is your Mother and She Is settled down in the triangular bone. She knows everything about you just as a tape recorder. She is absolute knowledge. Because She is so pure that whatever chakra She touches, She knows what is wrong with that chakra before hand; so She is quite prepared and She adjusts herself fully so that you do not get a problem by the awakening. If any chakra is constricted, She waits and goes on slowly opening that chakra.

The Kundalini is the primordial power and is reflected in you. In a human being, it is like many strands of energy, like rope. This energy is all twisted together to form that Kundalini. In a human being the strands are 3 x 7 = 21 Nadis raised to the power of 108. When your kundalini rises, one or two strands out of this come up and pierce the fontanelle bone. It has to pass through the innermost nadi known as Brahma Nadi. It is a spiral movement throughout. The kundalini is spiral and nadis are also like a spiral. The outermost nadi is the right-side nadi, Pingala Nadi. The second innermost is Ida Nadi. She starts sending these threads through Brahma Nadi; by that they relax the centre. By relaxing of centre, the sympathetic nervous system also starts relaxing, your pupils start dilating and when it has pierced the Agnya, then the eyes will be completely dilated and shining. Then She enters into Sahasrara.

It is absolutely the pure light of knowledge of love, compassion and attention. All these things are in that energy. We know of many energies like electrical, light energy etc. These energies cannot think. They cannot adjust and work on their own. They have to be handled by us. But this energy itself is the living energy and knows how to handle itself. It thinks. If you see a seed being sprouted you will find at the tip of the seed there is a small little cell which knows how to go around the soft places, how to encircle the stones, and how to find its way towards the source. That cell has got a little Kundalini in it. But within you a tremendous force of Kundalini exists. When a realised soul says that he should have more compassion, as my compassion is not alright; my concern about others, my generosity is not alright, I have exploited other's love. Then this energy starts moving, giving you that greater dimension of love and compassion. If you do not want to grow in your awareness then She does not supply the energy which is stored in you.

The Kundalini is there to nourish you, look after you, and make you grow by giving you a higher, wider and deeper personality. All her power is nothing but love. She gives the power to forgive. Even when you think, the energy for thinking comes from Kundalini because you are asking her help.

The power of Kundalini is absolute purity, auspiciousness, holiness, chastity, self-respect, pure love, detachment, concern, enlightened attention to give you Joy. As a mother will try whatever is possible to give joy to her child, in the same way, this Kundalini has only one power and that is how to give Joy to her own Children. When we talk in the light of Kundalini, we have to understand that this light spreads in your life, outside your life and, expresses itself in a very beautiful manner.

When you worship Adi Kundalini, the reflection in you, which is your Kundalini, is very happy. Also the deities feel happy.

The power of Kundalini which is your own Mother has to rise and manifest itself, because of your Pure Desire. In your introspection, pujas, and in your Meditation, you should see for yourself why are you in meditation. It is for pure desire of compassion and love to be awakened within us. The growth has started and you will find that this shell which is human conditioning and ego will just break open. It is in the triangular bone, which comes up, manifests and can save the whole world. Just see the magnificence, the expansion, the greatness of this Kundalini which was within you and which came up in its full strength and has shown tremendous things.

The joy we feel during music recitals is because Kundalini is dancing. She gets happy because you ask for nothing but enjoyment of collectivity.

You are yourself fully connected when you are absolutely detached and your Kundalini is dancing. You are alone and never alone. This oneness with the whole gives you all the security and joy you want. That's why the Kundalini awakening means collectivity. Unless and until you want pure collectivity in your being Kundalini won't rise.

When you worship Adi Kundalini, you are trying to cleanse your Kundalini, as well and please the deities. This is an object. It cannot be changed. But the reflector can change. The movement of Kundalini depends on temperament of person. Kundalini can give you honesty, and faith in honesty by actualising the experience. Supposing you want to go to a garden and you are suddenly there. Then you will know that your desire is pure and it has worked out. All such miracles happen. The pure desire works out because it is powerful.

When it works, the whole thing works out and you develop faith. That faith is within you. Nobody can challenge you if you have faith. It will be done. Your pure desire is now being fulfilled, you are now connected, and you are now Divine. You are realised souls. You are different from others. For you, all this subtle knowledge is being absorbed, because your Kundalini is absorbing it. Whatever is absorbed is absorbed back by me. But that becomes like a barometer. You immediately know without thinking, asking, you know about anyone because Kundalini is the reflector. The better a reflector, you become, the more the Kundalini shows. Though Kundalini is an individual Mother, in her functions and methods She is just the same. You cannot cheat the Kundalini; She knows you out and out. We must meditate to get into thoughtless awareness by which we allow the Kundalini to grow."

Kundalini: The dormant, divine Evolutionary Force that enlightens and bestows immortality when activated
"What is Kundalini Really? More commonly known in western cultures as Holy Spirit, Kundalini is the ancient Sanskrit name for the primal life force that animates all living entities—the evolutionary force behind all living matter.... Shaktipat is a Sanskrit word for the process of activating the higher Kundalini-Shakti energy, initiating the process of spiritual growth and enlightenment and advancing personal evolution dramatically. This has also been called the "baptism by fire" and "second birth"—a truly sacred mystical experience.” Dr. Larry Jensen PhD, DD, MBA.

According to Indian tradition, man has seven chakras (centres of energy). The Kundalini force is said to be sleeping, coiled like a serpent, in the lowest chakra, called the root chakra. When this force is awaken, it begins to rise up through the spine. The awakening occurs through yoga, meditation, breathing exercises etc., and was called "the shorter way to God".

The most ancient Eastern spiritual texts, the Vedas, of India, tell us that the process of spiritual awakening by which one attains truth -awareness is called 'Self-Realization'. The Self Realized person lives in direct experience of reality—this is called "Jnana" ( a traditional sanskrit word meaning 'knowledge' or 'Gnosis'). Such a person is called a "Jnani" ('knower ' or 'gnostic' ) or "dwijaha" ('twice born'; first from a human mother to the earthly plane then secondly as a child of the Goddess, or Divine Mother, who gives the seeker their second, spiritual birth, Self-Realisation, into the plane of mystic awareness- gnosis! ).
Kundalini means ‘coiled energy’ and it refers to a power which lies in three-and-a-half coils in the sacrum bone called the Mooladhara which is distinct from, and lies above, the Mooladhara Chakra. (It is interesting to note that sacrum if Greek for sacred.) A pulsation is sometimes seen at this level during Kundalini Awakening. Like the Sushumna, the Kundalini is normally in a potential state. When it is awakened it ascends through the Sushumna, across the void to the top of the Sushumna. When the Kundalini emerges at this point, Yoga is said to have taken place. Yoga is impossible without Kundalini Awakening.
This happening of Kundalini awakening and ultimate union with a higher consciousness are described by a Sanskrit word ‘Sahaja’. This means literally ‘born with,’ spontaneous or effortless. The implication is that the entire mechanism is inborn — part of human anatomy — and is activated in a spontaneous and natural way without undue or extreme efforts. One analogy often used is the germinating of a seed. This happens automatically when the seed is placed in the Mother Earth.
When the Kundalini reaches the Agnya Chakra, one becomes silent and peaceful. The person sits with his eyes closed, so this is not a state of hypnosis, brainwashing or manipulation — just silence. The person is fully aware of himself and of his surroundings and is he wishes to, he can think. However, the person is very relaxed and his attention is not constantly being distracted by the normal flow of mundane thoughts. This state is not achieved by any effort of will or by any mental exercises on the part of the patient. It occurs spontaneously when a Sahaja Yogi, that is to say someone who has the state of Yoga and the expertise of the mechanism, awakens the Kundalini. But this is also an illusion as it the Divine Presence within that gives Self-Realization.
If one of the Chakras is damaged or defective, the Kundalini may be obstructed at that level. In such cases, it is often possible to see the pulsation of the Kundalini at that level with the naked eye, and to hear it with a stethoscope. This pulsation can also be heard at the fontanel and Adi Shankaracaraya called this 'spandakarika.'
As the Kundalini rises through the Agnya Chakra, it cools down the system, especially the cerebo-spinal fluid. This results in the balloons of the left and right Agnya becoming progressively deflated. Once this happens the Kundalini is able to reach the top of the Sushumna; the Sahasrara Chakra. At this point we can say that Yoga has taken place. The person feels the coolness, like a breeze of cool vibrations flowing in the fingers and palms of both hands. The sensations on the hands can, with very little practice, be used to ascertain the state of the Chakras. The nadis and the Chakras themselves begin to manifest in the conscious awareness, and what has so far been a hypothesis becomes part of one’s everyday sensory experience. Our fingertips, the base and center of the palm become extremely sensitive as the sympathetic nerve endings representing the different Chakras become enlightened. (According to the Prashna Upanishad, verse 3:6, there are precisely 727,210,201 nerves.) We can feel on our fingers our own selves and other people by a proper method of decoding, which can be taught to anyone who reaches this stage, in a month. Thus, the diagnosis takes place at a deeper level of our being through our sensitivity to these seven centres.
If one learns how to nourish the Chakras through the knowledge of Sahaja Yoga, one can cure the exhausted Chakras. Thus the patient is cured at the root of the disease. It is a scientific and logical method that exists naturally within ourselves, which gives us a balance, redeems us of our mental and physical troubles, comforts and counsels us.
The Mysterious Kundalini

Manastvam Vyoma tvam Marudasi Marutsarathirasi,
Tvamapastvam Bhumistvayi parinatayam nahi param,
Tvameva Svatmanam parinamayitum visvavapusha
Chidanandakaram haramahishi-bhavena bibhrushe.
"O Devi! Thou art the mind, the sky, the air, the fire, the water, and the earth. Nothing is outside Thee on Thy transformation. Thou hast become Siva's consecrated queen to alter Thy own blissful conscious Form in the shape of the world".

Kundalini, the serpent power or mystic fire, is the primordial energy or Sakti that lies dormant or sleeping in the Muladhara Chakra, the centre of the body. It is called the serpentine or annular power on account of serpentine form. It is an electric fiery occult power, the great pristine force which underlies all organic and inorganic matter.

Kundalini is the cosmic power in individual bodies. It is not a material force like electricity, magnetism, centripetal or centrifugal force. It is a spiritual potential Sakti or cosmic power. In reality it has no form. The Sthula Buddhi and mind have to follow a particular form in the beginning stage. From this gross form, one can easily, understand the subtle formless Kundalini. Prana, Ahamkara, Buddhi, Indriyas, mind, five gross elements, nerves are all the products of Kundalini.

It is the coiled-up, sleeping Divine Sakti that lies dormant in all beings. You have seen in the Muladhara Chakra that there is Svayambhu Linga. The head of the Linga is the space where Sushumna Nadi is attached to the Kanda. This mysterious Kundalini lies face downwards at the mouth of Sushumna Nadi on the head of Svayambhu Linga. It has three and a half coils like a serpent. When it is awakened, it makes a hissing sound like that of a serpent beaten with a stick, and proceeds to the other Chakra through the Brahma Nadi, which is also called Chitra Nadi within Sushumna. Hence Kundalini is also called Bhujangini, serpent power. The three coils represent the three Gunas of Prakriti: Sattva, Rajas and Tamas, and the half represents the Vikritis, the modification of Prakriti.

Kundalini is the Goddess of speech and is praised by all. She Herself, when awakened by the Yogin, achieves for him the illumination. It is She who gives Mukti and Jnana for She is Herself that. She is also called Sarasvati, as She is the form of Sabda Brahman. She is the source of all Knowledge and Bliss. She is pure consciousness itself. She is Brahman. She is Prana Sakti, the Supreme Force, the Mother of Prana, Agni, Bindu, and Nada. It is by this Sakti that the world exists. Creation, preservation and dissolution are in Her. Only by her Sakti the world is kept up. It is through Her Sakti on subtle Prana, Nada is produced. While you utter a continuous sound or chant Dirgha Pranava ! (OM), you will distinctly feel that the real vibration starts from the Muladhara Chakra. Through the vibration of this Nada, all the parts of the body function. She maintains the individual soul through the subtle Prana. In every kind of Sadhana the Goddess Kundalini is the object of worship in some form or the other.

The serpent (Adi Kundalini) is a messenger from the true God

The Complete Guide To World Mysticism
"The supreme Gnostic heresy was to see Yahweh, the tribal deity of the Old Testament, as a false god – a vicious and foolish creator of an imperfect world. A Gnostic text called `On the Origins of the World' writes of this false god hiding the real God both from others and from himself. The god of religion is not the God of the Gnostic mystics. A religion fixes God and defines his characteristics, but the real power of divinity is forever ineffable and can only be known through direct mystical experience, not creeds and dogmas. For the Gnostic mystics, all the villains of the Old Testament – Cain, Esau, the Sodomites – become heroes for resisting the presumptuous Yahweh. A text called The Testimony of Truth tells the story of Genesis from the serpent's point of view. The serpent is a messenger from the true God of divine wisdom; it comes not to tempt Adam and Eve, but to guide them away from the tyrannical Yahweh and towards a direct knowledge of the true reality.

For the Gnostics, Jesus is not the son of a partisan Jewish god, but the son of the true God who is the oneness that underlies all. He comes not to save people from offending against the rules laid down by an autocratic creator, but directly to reveal the transcendent truth. The true God of Jesus is beyond all ideas, and so can be equally pictured as both father and mother. A Gnostic text has God declaring:

I am the Thought that dwells in the Light. She who exists above all, I move in every creature. I am the Invisible One within the All. I am perfection. I am knowledge. I cry out in everyone and they know a seed dwells within them. I am androgynous. I am both Mother and Father., since I make love with myself. I am the womb that gives shape to All. I am the Glorious Mother."

QUOTES OF SHRI MATAJI

The Great Adi Shakti Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi
The Paraclete Shri Mataji
"Today you all have decided to have the puja of Adi Shakti. There's a difference between doing the puja of Kundalini Shakti or Adi Kundalini and Adi Shakti. The difference is like this: on one side the Kundalini is reflected in you by Adi Kundalini; the second side is the power of Adi Shakti which is Paramchaitanya. So in totality, if you see, it has two sides. One is Her power as Paramchaitanya and also reflection in human beings as Kundalini. The third work that Adi Shakti had to do was to create this whole universe. To begin with, as you have seen yesterday also how the cosmos was created and then how this special planet of Mother Earth was created.

Now what I have told you about Adam and Eve, we have found out, said by also John in his Gnostics book. It's very surprising. They always told you that Christ must have told you many things, but they are not in the Bible. So if you understand that this Adi Shakti came as a serpent — the Adi Kundalini part of Her — and told the Adam and Eve, especially Eve, that she should ask for the fruit of knowledge to be eaten. The reason I gave you is exactly written there, that the Mother power, the feminine power, didn't want Her children to live like animals without understanding what is the knowledge of the higher realms, not giving them chance to rise higher through their freedom and then to higher and higher awareness. It was the concern of the Mother."

"The Sahasrara is located in the limbic area of the brain. The human head is made like a coconut. It is covered with hair. Underneath the hair we find a hard shell with an inner lining of black material. On the inside is the white flesh, followed by space and water. Our brain is made in the same fashion. It is for you a unique moment when you enter in the Sahasrara of the Virata to reside in the brain of the cells of the Sahasrara. Let us examine the qualities of the cells of the Sahasrara Chakra. These are special cells resulting from a special creative processor, the Swadhisthan. They cross all the Chakras and, when arrives in the Sahasrara Chakra, they are ready to participate in cerebral activity without mixing with the rest of the body.
The Power of the central channel is the Kundalini which must elevate itself and penetrate into different Chakras, then to enter into the limbic zone and illuminate the candles (Pithas) of these centers. Consequently, it crosses six Chakras to penetrate in the limbic zone and illuminate the seven Pithas situated in the brain which are placed along the median line of the limbic zone, beginning at the back of the head with the Mooladhara Chakra surrounded by the Swadhisthan, followed by Nabhi, the Heart, the Vishuddhi and the Agnya Chakra. These six centers combine together to form the seventh....
The Sahasrara is therefore the assembly, the six other Chakras being an empty space surrounded by one thousand Nadis. When Light penetrates into the limbic zone the Nadis receive illumination and therefore we can see them in the form of a flame, beautiful flames of seven different colors. The last flame becomes as white as day as it integrates itself. Finally the other lights also become as clear as the day. By this the Sahasrara Chakra reveals its One Thousand Petals. If you cut horizontally you will see all the nerves radiate around the limbic zone where everything resembles a petal. With a vertical cut you will notice a certain quantity of nerves are united in a beam. This is why the Sahasrara Chakra appears as a beam of Light.

When your Sahasrara Chakra opens and the Kundalini reaches the top of your head, a type of spark becomes ready and as soon as the air of the fontanel expands in the Brahmarandhra, the grace of the Spirit enflames the latent fire and your Nadis illuminate themselves. Not all of them, but a good number. Not along most of their length, but along their contour.
This is how you obtain illumination. Many things may happen, thanks to the seven centers of the Sahasrara: this Light enables you to see them, or actually you do not see them, but they take place in your conscience, and this conscience opens in a self-integration.
Reason, separate from the heart, unites to him and to the attention wherefore the attention rests and you will act in a collective way. Whatever the attention of your activity it will receive Blessings. Your attention span will become more efficient and have great importance. Your desire become more important because the Realization of the Self makes you an integrated person to the point where attention and desire become one: you will desire all that is good for your spirit, and your attention is attracted by everything that radiates a spiritual Power or influence.
This is a profound subject. When the illumination of the Kundalini takes place in the brain it will be able to discern the Truth. You will start to see the Truth with your brain. Up to now the brain could not really see the Truth, but was only able to see the appearances. For example, you could see colors, the harmony of colors, and the quality of things. But you could not know if one carpet or another had been used by a saint. You could not tell if it had been made by a good or bad person. You could not tell the difference between a good person or bad. In reality, you could not know anything about God with your mind, know nothing. It is impossible for you to be judge of the divine quality of a person as long as the Kundalini does not attain the limbic region. You cannot prove if a person is authentic or not, or if the Guru is real or not. Indeed, the brain cannot perceive divinity unless it is illuminated by the Spirit."

The Paraclete Shri Mataji

"I am here to tell you about the last breakthrough of our evolution. This breakthrough of our evolution in our awareness has to happen in these modern times and has been, moreover, recorder in the writings of many seers. These are the times called as the "Decadent Times" last called by the great saint Vyasa who has written the Gita, and it is the decadence of humanity that we see around in every way possible.

Now I would like to tell the secret knowledge of our inner being which was known in India thousands of years back. For our evolution and spiritual ascent there is a residual power within us which is located in the triangular bone at the base of our spine. This residual power was available thousands of years back in India, the awakening of the Kundalini was done, traditionally, on an individual basis only. One guru would give awakening to on disciple. As a result of that awakening, what happens is that you achieve your self-realisation, your self-hood. Secondly, when this power is awakened, it rises and passes through six subtle energy centres in your body, nourishing them and integrating them. Ultimately this power breaks through the fontanelle bone area called as the Talu or Divine love, which is described in the bible also as the "cool breeze of the Holy Ghost", also in the Koran as "Ruh" and also in the India scriptures as "Paramchaitanya". Patanjali has called it as "Ritambhara Pragya". Whatever the name, this is a power which is all-pervading, which does all the subtle works of living process, of evolutionary process. The existence of this all-pervading energy is not felt before realisation but after self-realisation you can feel it on your finger tips or at the centre of your palm or above the fontanelle bone area.

Moreover, this process has to be spontaneous, "Sahaja". "Saha" means "with" and "ja" means "born". That means the right to get this union with the All-pervading Power of Divine love is the birth right of every human being. Our mental energies are limited. Our limited mental energy, which is linear in movement and has no sustenance of reality, reaches a point and stops. From there it boomerangs and all that mental, linear movement comes back to us as a punishment sometimes. So now we need more energy, higher energy, deeper energy and for that this happening has to take place.

I must say that in the West I have met many people who are true seekers of Truth and are fed up of artificiality of the Western life.

Also they didn't know what they were seeking sometimes and they have made lots of mistakes. They have gone to false gurus who have taken lots of money and the people have become bankrupt and mentally and physically handicapped. The one thing you must note is that the awakening of the Kundalini and thus achieving self-realisation is a living process of evolution for which we cannot pay anything. It is like putting a seed in the Mother Earth. It sprouts because Mother Earth has the power to sprout it and the seed has an in-built germinating quality within it. In the same way we have this germinating power in the triangular bone which the Greeks called Sacrum. This is a three and a half coil energy. This shows that the Greeks knew that this was a sacred bone and hence they grave the name Sacrum. Actually in some people you can see this triangular bone pulsating and the Kundalini very slowly rising, but where there are no obstructions and if the person is a balanced being, the Kundalini rises from the Sacrum just like a jet and passes through the fontanelle bone area to become one with the All-pervading Power. This Kundalini is the spiritual mother of every individual and She knows or has recorded all the past aspirations of Her child. She is anxious to give second birth to Her child and during Her ascent, She nourishes six energy centres.

When a person is not connected to the All-pervading Power, he is like an instrument which is not connected to the mains and has no identity, has no meaning, has no purpose. As soon as it is connected, all that is built in inside this instrument starts working and manifesting itself.

When this Kundalini rises it connects you to the All-pervading Power, which is vital and which is an ocean of knowledge as well as an ocean of bliss. After the awakening of Kundalini, you experience many coincidence which are miraculous and extremely blissful. Above all Kundalini is the ocean of forgiveness. So whatever mistakes you have committed in the past are forgiven and instead you get your self-realisation as a blessing.

The consequences of the awakening of the Kundalini and thereby the attainment of self-realisation are numerous. First and foremost, such a person is constantly in contact with or is in fact a part of the all-pervading Divine power. He seeks the truth by using his new awareness.

And as truth is one, all self-realised persons see this same truth. Thus conflicts are avoided. Purely mental activity without self-realisation, leads to conflicting ideas and even wars. All this is avoided after self-realisation.

Now, let us see how many other things happen in a person who gets realisation. Firstly you start feeling the cool breeze of the Holy Ghost on you know the truth on your fingertips. You transcend all the limitations of race, religion and other ideas and you go beyond your mind to see and fell the reality and understanding it. The next thing that happens is that you become thoughtlessly aware. We live in the future and in the past through our thoughts. They come to us from these two areas of time but we cannot be in the present. While these thoughts are rising and falling we are jumping on the cusp of these thoughts. But when the Kundalini rises She elongates these thoughts and thereby creates some space in-between which is the present, which is the reality. So the past is over and the future doesn't exist. At that time you have no thoughts. You reach a new state as you become thoughtlessly aware about which Jung has written clearly. At this moment, whatsoever happens is recorded in your memory well and you enjoy every moment of this reality. When you become thoughtlessly aware then you become completely peaceful within yourself. A person who has achieved this peace also emits peace and creates a peaceful atmosphere around himself. This peace is very Important. Unless and until we have this peace we will never truly understand whatever our ideas are, whether universal or just limited.

You can feel your own seven centres on your fingertips. Also you can feel the centres of others because you develop a new dimension of awareness which is called as collective consciousness. When such new awareness is established into you, you start feeling also the centres of others. I must tell you that these centres are responsible for our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and when they are affected or they are in jeopardy, people suffer from one disease or another. As a result of the awakening of the Kundalini and the nourishment of these centres, an important development would be that you will feel an inner balance and you will enjoy good health. Many diseases, even some incurable ones, have been cured by the awakening of the Kundalini. Even the data base of the inherited genes may be restructured after self-realisation through the awakening of the Kundalini. As a result, a person who might well become a good man.

Our attention also becomes very pure. In the light of the spirit we can see things much more clearly than when we were blind. For example, a person who goes with his blind eyes and feels an elephant and then another comes in and a third comes in, all of them have different ideas about the elephant, depending on whichever part of the elephant they have touched. But if they open their eyes then can all see the same thing, the reality and there will be no quarrel and fights.

A self-realised person can feel the absolute knowledge on the fingertips. Supposing someone doesn't believe in God. A self-realised person can suggest to the non-believer that he should ask the question : "Is there God ?" The questioner will got, you will find, a very nice cool breeze coming into his being. He may not believe in God but there is God. Unfortunately, so many of those who believe in God are also absurd, hypocritical, cruel, weird and so immoral that people have lost faith in God. But while those who represent God may be wrong, God himself exists and his power also exists which we call as the All-pervading Power of Divine love. This is the power of love and compassion and not of aggression and destruction. This power of love and compassion and not of aggression and destruction. This power of love and compassion, when it is imbibed in a yogi or in a self-realised person, it work in a very different way like an angel. Such people can cure others and cure themselves. Even mental cases have been cured. Not only that. Even those who have been to wrong gurus in their search of truth, have achieved their spiritual stability after leaving false gurus and coming to the path of self-realisation.

In the next stage, you become thoughtlessly aware, when your Kundalini is stabilised and you know undoubtedly that you have achieved your self-realisation, that you have attained all the powers that can be utilised. You become very powerful because you can raise the Kundalini of others. You become very active and you don't feel tired easily. For example, I am seventy three years of age and I am travelling about every third day, but I am quite all right. This energy flows into you and fills you up with vitality. You become extremely dynamic and at the same time extremely compassionate, kind and mild. You feel that you are protected and thus you are confident but not egotistical. You whole personality changes. This is the kind of global transformation which is taking place which such a speed all over that I, myself, am surprised at how it is working out so fast.

Actually, this knowledge existed a long time beck but my contribution, if there is any, is that we can now achieve en masse realisation. Thousands can achieve mass realisation. It is a gift of this time where it was predicted that such global transformation will take place. In as many as 65 countries, thousands of people have attained their self-realisation through Sahaja Yoga.

The power of Kundalini is the pure desire of attaining your self-hood. If someone doesn't have it, you cannot force him because the Divine respects the freedom of that person. If he wants to go to hell. Self-realisation can be attained easily if the people have a sincere and pure desire to get their self-realisation. But if they stick to some of their ideas, which are fixed, the Kundalini won't rise. Also it cannot work for idiots or for immature people. It works for people who are wise, who are more in the centre, and it works very fast. I was amazed to see that it has worked even on people who were drug addicts, who were alcoholics and who were very immoral. But they all had intense and pure desire to secure self-improvement, self-realisation. So many of such people achieved their goal of self-realisation. Overnight, they grave up their drugs, their alcoholism. Thus you become very powerful and at the same time you understand that you are now glorified and you start behaving in a very dignified and a very sensible manner. This is how a new style of life where you become innately, I say innately, righteous. Nobody has to tell you : "Don't do this" and "Don't do that". It is all achieved through you enlightened attention. This enlightened attention is also full of power. Wherever you put your attention it works, it created peace, it creates harmony and also it creates a new dimension of collective consciousness."

"The Kundalini is the Truth. It is sacred. There is no hypocrisy in it. It is not something which can be purchased in a shop. This is the Absolute Truth. As long as you cannot recognize the Truth by following Vama Marg or the wrong path, when you will merge into the Truth, when you will get absorbed in it only then you would understand that you are but an instrument of God’s flow. And that you are the instrument of the same Power of Love of God which pervades the whole Universe and directs all movement therein.
This Power is made available to you only because of Jesus Christ through His crucifixion. What a great sacrifice on the part of Christ! It is due to Him that our Agnya Chakra has opened. If the Agnya Chakra of any person does not open, Kundalini would not rise because the Mooladhara Chakra would also remain constricted till the Agnya Chakra remains constricted. If a person’s Agnya Chakra is too much constricted the Kundalini Power would not rise, whatever efforts you may make.
For removing the catch on the Agnya Chakra we apply kumkum. This has the effect of reducing the troubles of the ego as also other troubles. When the kumkum is applied on the above the Agnya Chakra, the Chakra is opened and Kundalini rises — such is the connection between Jesus Christ and the Kundalini Power. Shri Ganesha, who is stationed at the Mooladhara and protects the modesty of Shri Kundalini, also opens the Door at the Agnya Chakra for the Kundalini to pass through it."

"A pulsation is sometimes seen at this during Kundalini awakening. Kundalini is normally in a potential state. When it is awakened it ascends through the Sushumna, across the Void to the top of the Sahasrara. When the Kundalini emerges at this point, Yoga is said to have taken place. Yoga is impossible without Kundalini awakening."

"Our brain is the fruit of the whole of our evolution. Whatever has been our evolution to date — that from amoebae today we have become humans — we have got all that as a result of this brain. Within this are all kinds of Powers, of all kinds. Within this is collected all the Wealth that has been received by us."

"It is a inner built-in system already there, existing within you, which gives you this experience of the Spirit because you are the pure Spirit . . . There is an All-Pervading Power which is named by different names; that Islam calls it Ruh, in India they call Paramchaitanya, in Bible . . . you can say is the Cool Breeze of the Holy Ghost. You have never felt it before that it existed. It does exist."

ADDITIONAL QUOTES

"Kundalini... awakening does not signify a sudden landing in a fabulous El Dorado of bliss. It is a stern reality denoting a gradual or sudden change in the quality and volume of bioenergy in the body."—Gopi Krishna

Long rumored to be among the most rare of human experiences, in the past several decades, the incidence of reported Kundalini awakening has been on the increase worldwide. Kundalini awakening manifests on multiple levels. "Brought up through the body, this power promotes healing and longevity," writes transpersonal psychologist Ralph Metzner; "raised to the throat and head, it stimulates creativity and intuition." (from The Unfolding Self: Varieties of Transformative Experience) The radical restructuring of the psyche catalyzed by Kundalini leads to a state which Metzner says "has been variously referred to as mystical experience, ecstasy, cosmic consciousness, oceanic feeling, oneness, transcendence, union with God, nirvana, satori, liberation, peak experience, and by other names." ...

In his book The Soul's Journey, Lawrence Edwards, Ph.D. a transpersonal psychologist who has experienced Kundalini writes: "Even within the most bound forms of the physical realm the full power and presence of God, of Divine Consciousness, are present. The release of that bound energy is like the release of the potential energy bound in matter that suddenly results in the extraordinary power and light of nuclear reactions. The awakening of the Kundalini is the release of the bound Power and Light of God present within the human form."

Particularly in New Age circles, Kundalini proponents hold out promises of bliss, inner peace, mystical odysseys, psychic power and self-transcendence. While this is true, the journey also entails what transpersonal psychologist Bonnie Greenwell, Ph.D., describes as "physical collapse, psychic chaos, and personality upheaval, elements of human transformation that uproot us to the core, and cause us to 'know' that we have been touched by powers greater than ourselves." (from Energies of Transformation)"

"Kundalini is a dormant energy within most people. In Hindu mythology, Kundalini is a serpent goddess who lies asleep at the base of the spine, coiled three and a half times around the first chakra. Her name is Kundalini Shakti, and she represents the unfolding of the divine Shakti energy, the energizing potential of life itself, a living goddess who enlivens all things.

Under certain circumstances, the Kundalini energy awakens and begins to rise through the body, piercing and opening the chakras as she moves in her undulating, snake-like fashion. As Kundalini releases stored and blocked energies, her movement can be quite intense, sometimes painful, and often leads to mental states that seem out of this world."

"According to Indian tradition, man has seven chakras (centres of energy). The Kundalini force is said to be sleeping, coiled like a serpent, in the lowest chakra, called the root chakra. When this force is awaken, it begins to rise up through the spine. The awakening occurs through yoga, meditation, breathing exercises etc., and was called "the shorter way to God" by the old practicians. One was well aware though, that it was a risky journey. The energy activates all chakras, and it was therefor important that the practician performed purification exercises, because if the chakras were filled with impurities, the ravaging of Kundalini was very painful. The sense of these exercises is to reinforce the nervous system and the glands, so that they can bear the tremendous powers that are activated. This is done through exact bodily movements and positions, manipulation of the respiratory organs, mantras, i.e. sacred phrases, and is finally finished off with meditation."

“What is kundalini?

Kundalini literally means coiling, like a snake. In the classical literature of hatha yoga kundalini is described as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine. The image of coiling, like a spring, conveys the sense of untapped potential energy. Perhaps more meaningfully kundalini can be described as a great reservoir of creative energy at the base of the spine. It's not useful to sit with our consciousness fixed in our head and think of kundalini as a foreign force running up and down our spine. Unfortunately the serpent image may serve to accentuate this alien nature of the image. It's more useful to think of kundalini energy as the very foundation of our consciousness so that when kundalini moves through our bodies our consciousness necessarily changes with it.

The concept of kundalini can also be examined from a strictly psychological perspective. From this perspective kundalini can be thought of as a rich source of psychic or libidinous energy in our unconscious.

In the classical literature of Kashmir Shaivism kundalini is described in three different manifestions. The first of these is as the universal energy or para-kundalini. The second of these is as the energizing function of the body-mind complex or prana-kundalini. The third of these is as consciousness or shakti-kundalini which simultaneously subsumes and intermediates between these two. Ultimately these three forms are the same but understanding these three different forms will help to understand the differerent manifestations of kundalini."

“kundalinî: "She who is coiled; serpent power." The primordial cosmic energy in every individual which eventually, through the practice of yoga, rises up the sushumnâ nâdî. As it rises, the kunalinî awakens each successive chakra. Nirvikalpa samâdhi, enlightenment, comes as it pierces through the door of Brahman at the core of the sahasrâra and enters!"

Hinduism Today, January 1998

"In Saktism proper the Great Goddess, prakrti or maya, becomes the active principle of the universe: without her activity the male god, Brahman, Siva, or Visnu, is unable to do anything. Sakti is all-pervading, the source of creation and liberation. The aim of the mantra-sastras is the development and discovery of the immanent Sakti, called Kundalini. Mukti is achieved through a union of the activated Sakti, otherwise dormant in the mula-dhara, with the Highest Siva also residing in the body. Without the union of Sakti and Siva there are no emancipation; it is Sakti who is "the way" to Siva, who is static and inactive."

K. K. Klostermaier, Hinduism: A Short History, Oneworld Pub., 2000, p. 191-92

“Kundalini "Snake" or "serpent power" in Sanskrit, this term originally referred to a type of meditation practiced in Hindu Tantra. Recently, kundalini has become a label for a variety of experiences that involve sensations of energy moving vertically in the body. . . Along the pathway of the kundalini's ascent are located the CHAKRAS, psychic structures that correspond to aspects of human personality. Various schools enumerate various numbers and kinds of chakras. As the snake of power rises, it stimulates each chakra. The aim of the tantric practitioner is to prevent the kundalini from falling below the level of the heart chakra; the lower chakras represent self-centered appetites, whereas the higher ones embody spiritual aspirations. Experiences associated with the kundalini in tantric Hinduism are diverse. Classical texts state that Shakti's energy climbs the central channel in one of the five ways: creeping like an ant scaling a tree trunk; like a fish swimming in an ocean; like a monkey that leaps from the spinal base to the head in a single bound; in the manner of a bird, hopping from branch to branch; or undulating, like a snake. Metaphors used to describe the sensation of kundalini frequently combine liquid and luminous qualities, in phrases such as "flowing light" or "liquid fire."”

Leonard George, Ph.D., Alternative Realities

“Within the ancient world, the serpent (like its larger cousin, the dragon) had long been representative of the adept, of his powers of immortality and "divine" knowledge. Every culture of antiquity with the exception of the Christian revered this symbol. Christianity elected to forget the brazen serpent of Moses (Numbers 21:7-9), which God instructed the patriarch to make so that those who had been bitten by snakes might look upon the brass serpent and live. Jesus himself implied the great wisdom and prudence symbolized by the serpent when he said, "Be ye wise as serpents, and harmless as doves" (Matthew 10:16.) In fact, throughout archaic literature, the usual mythological association of the serpent is not with deceit and corruption, as in Genesis, but with physical and spiritual well-being and enlightenment.”

Rosalyn L. Bruyere, Wheels of Light

“Kundalini is the ancient term for the creative power of the universe. It is the spiritual evolutionary force of the body. In its unawakened and dormant resting state, the kundalini energy lies coiled like a snake at the base of the human spinal column. Through yogic breathing, postures, and meditation this divine and powerful cosmic energy is naturally and gently awaknened and directed upward within the spinal column through an internal system of energy centers and channels known as chakras and nadis.

The word Kundalini means to coil, representative of it's coiled snake-like resting posture. Kundalini, the universal, feminine, and creative power is the body's inner woman or Shakti (cosmic creative feminine energy). Once awakened and drawn upwards naturally from it's resting place at the base of the spine through yogic practice, the goddess force brings expansion, transcendence, awareness and joy.”

What is Kundalini Really?

"More commonly known in western cultures as Holy Spirit, Kundalini is the ancient Sanskrit name for the primal life force that animates all living entities—the evolutionary force behind all living matter. It operates unconsciously until awakened through Shaktipat Inititation. Shaktipat is a Sanskrit word for the process of activating the higher Kundalini-Shakti energy, initiating the process of spiritual growth and enlightenment and advancing personal evolution dramatically. This has also been called the "baptism by fire" and "second birth"—a truly sacred mystical experience.

Receiving or activating the Holy Spirit/Kundalini can be a profoundly moving, life-changing experience under any circumstances.

Kundalini awakening enables one to access what is far beyond the normal human realm and its imaginings. You will undertake a journey of growth and transformation facilitated by your own Divine energies as they work tirelessly to remove roadblocks, break through personal limitations and empower you to ultimately achieve the very highest aspects of Selfhood.”

“Kundalini's Teachings
Kundalini or the energy of the holy spirit

In my heart I worship Devi Kundalini
When She springs up from the mooladhara, Her home,
And shakes herself as far as the throne of the Sahasrara,
Opening one by one the lotuses of the kingly way Sushumna.
Her beauty is endowed with the dazzle of the flash,
And her body streams with the ambrosia of yoga.

Hymn to Bhairawi

Kundalini : almost all traditions mention kundalini in some form or other and each one gives its own description of her.

Christian writings call her the "Holy Spirit", the Chinese "Chi" and the Japonese "Ki". Kundalini is the supreme Shakti, the Mother of the Universe, Shiva's spouse. She is the goal of many yogas and other disciplines.

There is nothing higher, greater, more beautiful, more sublime than the SHAKTI, the nature of Divine Kundalini. However surprising it may seem, Kundalini loves to play.

I laugh and feel sorry for those in the world who try and arouse her by using more or less sophisticated machines. The human being tries to seize Kundalini through absurd machines or techniques.

Of course, it does not work. For some people, faith in technology has replaced faith in the Divine. Kundalini is the awaken path to happiness and plenitude.

The protected kingly path that will take you to full Self-Awareness. There is no point in using drugs or other bizarre means to arouse Her.

Kundalini is the Universal Awareness.

The name "Kundalini" belongs to the tradition derived from Shivaism writings. But there is no point in going to India to arouse Divine Kundalini.

You, my dear friends who are reading these lines, shall know this pleasure, this ineffable joy when your Inner Mother arouses along your spine.

Divine Kundalini shall purify your Shushumna and you shall know the ultimate goal of your existence: your own Achievement. This prodigious strength is nested at the bottom of the column of your existence.

Hermès Trismegiste calls Her "The Strong Strength of all Strengths."

Once she has been stirred up, She can go either upwards or downwards. If She goes upwards, the being benefits from greater spiritual development.

If She goes downwards, then comes the helpless fall into darkness and the real depths of perdition. It has always been advisable not to try and arouse Kundalini by force so as not irritate Her.

Stronger than everything else, this strength can create or destroy. But there is nothing to fear if an Achieved Being decides to make you share this incredible experience.

Kundalini contains no disease or trouble in Her. On the contrary, She devours diseases and only brings out "pure elixir".

In the kingdom of Kundalini, there is no mental craziness or physical diseases. However, thousands of texts quoted Her, but in a hidden form such as burning bush, tongue of fire, snake, Mercury's caduceus, the tree of life, etc.

But with time, even non-Achieved Beings heard of the secret. Some movements or sexo-tantric and lamaic sects distorted the tradition and perverted the cult and sublime teaching.

Today, tons of books are available in bookstores but none will arouse Kundalini in you… People are infuriated. Intellectually, they know lots of things but their Kundalini does not rise up. Kundalini is the female principle of God, Divine Mother, Adi Shakti, Holy Spirit.

She creates the universe and makes every single part of it divine. Even the earth is made divine but human beings do not know it.

There are two Kundalinis, one in the outer world and the other inside each of us. One in the macrocosm and the other in the microcosm.

Your Kundalini is already there, all you have to do is turn the button and let the power go through.

But beware : this strength is easily offended. Wanting to force her is enough to block her in her way up. The day your Kundalini rises up, be as humble and receptive as possible.

It is a blessed moment that you have been awaiting for centuries. You may compare Kundalini with a cable rolled upon itself and made up of many threads.

She rises by spreading her rings, crossing every chakra in her center. The more your chakras are contracted, the more reduced Kundalini's strength will be, because she does not want to hurt you.

She is your Mother who follows you from life to life and she loves you.

First, she will regenerate your chakras and fix the damage. She will simultaneously wake up the Deities.

You understand that if your basic chakras are blocked, Divine Mother Kundalini cannot rush forward. That is what happens with unrestrained sexuality.

Kundalini's pressure decreases as the Sahasrara opens....

Kundalini makes you aware of your non-duality. Little by little, you understand that you are not alone, a separate identity isolated from an uncertain world.

By crossing your fontanel, Kundalini breaks the egg shell. The chick shakes itself and learns to fly. That is the symbol of the Easter egg. The man who has been born a second time comes out of his shell.

This is a glorious day.

Triumphant, loving, glorious, Divine Kundalini wakes up in you an army of powers and cosmic alliances. Awaken Kundalini puts you in touch with the Universal Awareness that starts fulfilling your prayers.

You have become intercessors of mankind. Angels sing their joy at seeing a new Being of Light in the service of God and humanity!

From the state of human being, you tend toward the state of God.

This Divinisation can be reached for Kundalini consumes and burns all your impurities. Your vibrations become warm. By purifying you, Kundalini takes you away from men's natural tendency, which consists in confining their activities to the two lower centers.

The highest of these centers is at the navel. As a result, the human being contents himself with satisfactions given by material pleasures. Some men came to see me.

They asked me : "Can I arouse Kundalini through sex ?"
Old question, old quest, always the same stupidity. Those yogis were led astray when they left their hermitage and started getting important positions in the royal courts of Northern India.

They were corrupted and encouraged corruption, corrupting the Arts and the passing on of religious teaching. The apparition of so-called erotic friezes on certain temples dates back to that period. In Bengal, poetic tournaments celebrated adulterous love, deriding conjugal faithfulness.

The courtesan became the focal point of society, thus degrading the woman, the mother who is so worshipped by the hindu family.

This wave of porno-tantrism could not be eradicated and therefore Muslim invaders were contaminated. Nowadays, it is the Western world, where Christendom prevails, that is hit in turn by this plague, relayed by some TV channels and more and more sensuous ads.

I know people who are just like those men who came to ask that question. They give tantrism the largest role in their discovery of hindu teaching.

Is it ‘cause their parents took sexual repression for spirituality?

Those new tantrikas committed a sacrilege by calling the linguam, a sexual symbol, whereas it is the symbol of existence, and the chakra of the Sahasrara becomes the symbol of the genitals for them.

Yoga positions (asanas) are used for copulation and are an invitation to eroticism… Disgusting!

How can one think that God can be reached through sex ? Only naïve intellectuals and possessed artists can believe such nonsense.

By daring to put God at the level of sex, human beings join in the game of dark forces. That's the diabolical way those forces have found to desecrate basic chakras blessed by Deities.

Those Deities, scandalized by such acts, withdraw and in the void they leave behind, dark forces settle.

Beware and be sagacious!

But through the grace of Kundalini, when the Spirit reaches the fourth center, the one facing the heart, the human being can see or feel a Divine radiation.

Step by step, the Spirit reaches the other centers and when It reaches the center between the eyebrows, man is protected from all fear. Then, It tears the curtain and reaches the top of the head...

Total and Eternal union with the Lord.

Of course, it takes a highly purified soul to see the manifestation of the personal God. Only Divine Mother Kundalini can allow you to se his Divine Forms, through your spiritual organs that have been purified.

You cannot see God through your eyes of flesh. In the course of your evolution, a "body of love" is created with the eyes and ears of love.

It is through those organs that you can see. From those spiritual heights, all you see is a huge sky that spreads beyond limits.

Then you feel no satisfaction for material enjoyment, power or any inferior thing. On the day of your Achievement, you will know that your Liberation has come.

You understand that without Kundalini expanded, you cannot enjoy the material world or the spirit. Only Kundalini leads to those two states because She creates the world, and every cell and atom feeds upon Her.

Your material life in all aspects is also Her own creation. Kundalini, Divine mother of Love, is full of attention. She grants your wishes in this world while respecting the Divine Law. Your vision of the world will transform, widen and wonder.

A genuine form of enthusiasm, with no useless excitement takes hold of you and you are successful in everything. Your friendship for others will develop.

Your daily life becomes a field of jasmine. Obscenity in all its forms will move away from you.

You will no longer be able to read vulgar books or be around negative people. Your eyes need purity and can only become wide open in spiritual shrines. Your attention is purified as well as your emotions.

Kundalini regenerates you with great kindness. She gradually cleans your subconscious and your lower chakras. Your brain is clean and its rigid structures begin to melt.

Your innocence returns and Paradise comes back with it.

Your enthusiasm, vitality and fair judgement will amaze people around you. Through your mere presence, you radiate and alleviate illnesses and other human miseries.

You will be humble but not filled with this fake humility that sets teeth on edge when one comes across those who pretend to serve God.

You do not owe me anything.

You owe everything to Divine Mother Kundalini and Divine Providence.”
